Dullstroom Gin was born from a simple obsession: the pursuit of exceptional gin and a deeper understanding of how it should be enjoyed.
As lifelong gin enthusiasts, we spent years exploring gins from around the world—tasting, comparing, experimenting and learning. Along the way, one truth became unmistakably clear: not all gins are created equal. Craft gin, when made properly, consistently delivers superior flavour, balance and integrity compared to mass-produced commercial spirits.
Yet much of the global spirits market prioritises efficiency and margins over authenticity. Many large producers rely on artificial flavourings, colourants and shortcuts designed to maximise volume rather than quality. Even within the craft space, gimmicks such as synthetic colours, novelty additives or visual tricks are sometimes used to distract from what truly matters: what’s inside the bottle.
We believe discerning drinkers deserve better.
There is a growing community of gin and spirit lovers who want to understand what they’re drinking, appreciate natural ingredients and elevate their enjoyment through knowledge—whether that’s learning about botanicals, distillation methods, serving styles or food pairings. Dullstroom Gin exists for these drinkers.
Our mission is twofold:
With this vision, we set out to create our own gin brand in South Africa, choosing Dullstroom, Mpumalanga as our home. Dullstroom, known as the Place of Eternal Mist, it’s high-altitude climate, pristine water and slow-paced highland character perfectly reflect our approach to distilling: deliberate, refined and honest.
Dullstroom Gin is not about trends or theatrics.
It’s about craft, clarity and character—for those who care about what they drink and why.

We live by the Steampunk work ethic of Curiosity, Creativity and Craftsmanship. The Steampunk element is reflected in the cogs and elaborate detail in the logo, as well as the attention and energy we put into our gin, brand, and relationships with our suppliers, retailers, and consumers.
We are in and from Dullstroom, a charming, rustic, highland style trout village in the land of eternal mist. This is refelected in the name, the vintage and elegant type font, and the lush green in the logo.Â
Of course! The most important element which is depicted in the name, the copper pot and condenser, as well as the abundance of juniper.
